I liked the room in the upper floors, the bed was comfortable. The location was favourable, just a short walk away from a memorial park. Helpful and attentive staff who were always there to help.

Great place with free wi-fi, a seasonal outdoor pool, and helpful staff. I remember how they assisted me in finding my lost ID card during my first stay. I highly recommend dining outdoors for a nice experience.

Had a wonderful stay with a cozy fireplace in our king room and delicious breakfast each morning that really hit the spot. The outdoor pool and health club were perfect for unwinding after a busy day exploring. Just a heads up, the heating system was a bit noisy at night, but overall it didn’t change how great our experience was! 😊

There's something unmistakably charming about the German chalet-style architecture set right on the Potomac River. The infinity pool offers a amazing view. A bar only steps away, perfect for lounging with a drink while the sounds of nature surround you.

Upon entering the room, a musty, mildew-like scent struck me-it's a bit jarring at first. The carpets might be best replaced since they contribute to that odor. While the room itself was clean and functional, I found occasional bugs in the corners and the pillows, unfortunately, left much to be desired for comfort. Nothing ruins a good night's sleep like the neck-cracking experience from subpar pillows. The dining experience could be a bit hit-or-miss, as dressed casually didn't sit well for seating in the main dining room. Being directed to the lower level seemed unnecessary. This wouldn't deter everyone, but it's worth noting.

It was just a decent option for a city holiday in Shepherdstown with value for money. The hot and buggy hall leading to the room was a real downside. Check parking availability ahead of time, especially on weekends.

Comfortable room, friendly staff, the convenient location made it easy to explore the area including wonderful access to the C&O Canal path for biking. Plus, the hotel offers free Wi-Fi and parking which were greatly appreciated.

Staying here with my large family, including my mom, was a delight! We loved biking along the C & O Canal Towpath, taking in the beautiful scenery. The rooms were immaculate and the German food was a hit with everyone. It was serene.

My kids wished for a larger pool area for more fun.

The room was a King Room Spa Bath, with a modern yet cozy atmosphere, both comfortable and functional for work. The staff were efficient, assisting in setting up my presentation equipment seamlessly. The location is prime, with easy access to local attractions.

The Augsburg 1 room was a dream! the queen bed felt so cozy with fine linens, and the sitting area with the sleep sofa was perfect for relaxing. the atmosphere really made it feel like a home away from home. Just loved it!

Not a fan of the rainfall shower head; it was tricky adjusting the temperature.

I had a pleasant dinner at the Bavarian Inn. The staff provided excellent service throughout the evening. The food options, especially the beer selection, were excellent, offering a nice variety. I found it to be a good value for the quality we received. The main dining room had a bit of an outdated feel, which could use some updates to enhance the atmosphere. The overall dining experience was enjoyable. I would like to try the Rathskeller next time for a more casual, authentic dining vibe.
